Braun Hired as Insurance and Billing Coordinator with Dr. Krigbaum Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

Wausau, WI – October 30, 2006 – Angie Braun was recently hired as Insurance and Billing Coordinator at the Wausau and Rhinelander offices for Dr. Krigbaum Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.

In this role, Braun will be responsible for managing patient accounts, pre-treatment plans and submission and processing of insurance claims. Additionally, Braun will address patient concerns and answer any questions that may arise during the billing process.

Braun has a significant background in insurance and billing, including experience in the dental industry.

Local Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon Attends National Conference

Wausau, WI – October 30, 2006 – David E. Krigbaum, D.D.S., S.C. Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon recently attended the 88th annual AAOMS (American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons) Conference in San Diego, California, October 4-7, 2006.

Krigbaum attended educational sessions taught by leading experts in the field. Important current topics in the Oral and Maxillofacial industry were discussed over the four day conference.

The conference was attended by nearly 3,000 Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons from throughout the country. Krigbaum received continuing education credits for attending the AAOMS conference.

Local Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon Attends National Oral & Maxillofacial Conference

Wausau, WI – October 30, 2006 – David E. Krigbaum, D.D.S., S.C. Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon recently attended the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons meeting in San Diego, California on October 3-4, 2006.   

Krigbaum attended an anesthesia review course, which discussed the latest techniques in both ambulatory and office anesthesia. The conference was attended by Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons throughout the United States. Krigbaum received continuing education credits for attending the meeting.

Krigbaum Attends Annual Conference

Wausau, WI – June 9, 2006 – David E. Krigbaum, D.D.S., S.C. Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon recently attended the Annual Conference of the Wisconsin Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons held on April 19, Grand Geneva Resort, Lake Geneva.

The conference addressed the topic of bone density medications (bisphosphonates,i.e., Fosamax, Boniva) and how they can cause jaw bone death. Dr. Robert Marx of the University of Miami discussed clinical findings and treatment protocols for this subject.

Krigbaum earned continuing education credits for attending the conference. He has been a member of the Wisconsin Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons since 1994.

Local Oral & Maxillofacial Attains ACLS Recertification

Wausau, WI – March 8, 2006 – David E. Krigbaum, D.D.S., S.C. Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon recently became recertified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).

ACLS, which is an extension of basic CPR, encompasses airway emergencies, such as chocking as well as coronary artery occlusion and associated dysrhythmias. After initiating CPR and defibrillation, ACLS utilizes intubation techniques to secure the airway, and medications to treat the cardiac condition. Stroke recognition and initiation of treatment within 3 hours of onset is also stressed during the certification process.

The ACLS training and certification enables Krigbaum to react appropriately and quickly in the case of a related emergency situation during a dental procedure. Krigbaum has held the ACLS certification since 1994.
